Enjoy the aquarium after hours with our newest program: Stomp and Splash! Line Dancing at the aquarium! Take in the gorgeous view of the water and dance your way into some of the most beautiful sunsets on the island.  The event will take place on select Fridays this summer! In the case of inclement weather, the event will move inside in front of the sharks!  

A couple of things to note:  Event is BYOB optional.  Guests must be 21 and up and are allowed bring their own snacks, beer, unfortified wine or champagne (must be under 16% alcohol).  If guests are bringing a bottle of wine to share, it is encouraged that they bring cups as well.  No liquor, social tonics, canned cocktails, etc.  Please be sure to wear closed toed comfortable shoes.  No flip flops/sandals/etc.  

Should the event be cancelled due to lack of registration, we will contact you by 5PM the day before the event.

Sound Bath Under the Sea has returned!!

Enjoy the tranquility of our aquatic environment by participating in a sound bath session in front of the shark habitat! For those who are new to sound baths, they are meditative practices that involve immersing oneself in sound, either alone or in a group. The sounds are meant to provide a therapeutic and restorative experience for your body and mind which can help to relieve some tension and stress.  All sessions start at 6PM and will be happening every Wednesday night starting May 28th-August 27th! 

This event is open to ages 13 and up.

Please dress comfortably and bring your own mat, pillow, blanket or whatever you need to feel comfortable laying on the ground. 

Should the event be cancelled due to lack of registration, we will contact you by 5PM the day before the event and your ticket will be refunded.

Come and feel inspired by our aquatic environment with our paint and sip nights! A collaboration between Local Color OBX and the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island! The instructor will help you create a beautiful aquatic piece that you will cherish forever while you sip on your favorite beverage! The instructor will provide the materials, and you are allowed to bring your own beverage and snack.

Classes will be held on select Wednesdays in the spring from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. To ensure there are enough supplies, reservations are required, and tickets will not be sold at the door.
