Celebrate your child’s birthday with a unique party at the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island! Our two-hour birthday party package includes a fun-filled animal education program of your choice with a take-home craft, private use of our classroom facilities for refreshments and gifts exchange, and a self-guided tour through the Aquarium.

The Aquarium does not provide food or decorations, but does provide an educational program, goodie bag for each child, classroom space, tables, and chairs. Sorry, but balloons are NOT allowed for Aquarium birthday parties.

Parties are designed for ages 4 through 10.

Choose from the following themes:
Turtles, Alligators, Snakes, Invertebrates, Amphibians, Sharks, Whales & Dolphins, Stingrays, or River Otters.

Includes up to 12 children (20 max) and 12 adults.

Birthday Party Delivered to You!

Celebrate a friend or family member virtually, in the comfort of your own homes!  The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island has created some new options to help you plan your festivities for your special birthday boy or girl.  Enjoy some time with our animal ambassadors, participate in fun interactives, and add on a craft activity if you choose.  Parties are tailored for ages 4-8 but can be adapted for any age!  Select your options from the menu below, to build the party that is most appropriate for you.

 

Interactive Animal Presentation:

Enhance your at-home birthday party with a unique interactive animal experience hosted by the NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island.  An Aquarium educator will share some fun facts about your chosen animal, provide an opportunity to meet one of our animal ambassadors up close, and welcome questions from your party guests.  Each program may include a story, or interactive game, or time in front of one of the exhibits, depending on your child’s age and the animal theme chosen.  There will also be free time provided at the end of the animal program, for your guests to socialize and virtually share their refreshments and other celebrations.  Select one of the following animal topics for your party:  Turtles, Sharks, Alligators, or Amphibians.  Each presentation is limited to 15 children. 

$100 – Includes a 40-minute interactive presentation and 20 minutes of virtual free time for your guests.

Add-On Craft Package:  In addition to a live animal presentation featured above, our education team will walk your party guests through the steps to make an animal-themed craft at home.  Simple supplies can be gathered in advance at home, or we can send you craft kits in advance for an additional fee.  We can ship birthday kits to you, and you can then distribute them to your guests.  Please allow extra time for this option for shipping.

$25 – Includes a 20-minute craft activity, and 1 kit for Birthday Child

Each additional kit is $12

Total package for both components = $125.

NC Aquarium Society Members receive a 10% discount.

Create a splash at your next corporate meeting, birthday, bridal shower, or another event by having an animal drop in virtually.  Pick which animal ambassador you would like from the following animals:  Owl or River Otters.  Once they arrive, the educator will give a brief introduction to the animal, allow your attendees a chance to ask questions and then you can enjoy their animal shenanigans.  Make your meeting or event one-of-a-kind with some animal fun!  All animal programs are dependent on the availability of our animals.  If not available, another option will be provided.

Advanced registration required.  This program is facilitated using the Zoom platform.
