Sustainable Gardening Workshop
Have you ever wanted to learn more about how to manage your landscape and gardens more sustainably? Do you want to find ways to create outdoor spaces that provide habitat for birds, bees, butterflies and other wildlife? Do you want more information on what native plants do well here in the Outer Banks? If so, then our “Sustainable Gardening and Landscaping Workshop” may be right for you.
This series of workshops will focus on the plants that will help you create habitat for native wildlife. Each workshop will feature a classroom presentation about the day’s topic and (unless weather is prohibitive) will be followed by a walk-through in the pollinator garden to look at the plants and answer questions. There may also be time to stay after the tour and assist with a planting project (optional- workshop dependent). Each participant will receive native plants from the days topic to take home!
Participation in all of the workshops is encouraged, but not required.
