    Homeschool Day

    REGISTRATION FOR PROGRAMS

    WILL BEGIN SEPTEMBER  2nd at  9:00AM ONLINE ONLY

     

    Every year, the Aquarium holds a special Homeschool Day event each year. During this event, all children in the immediate homeschooled family are invited to attend. This includes children who are not school-age, and two adults (additional adults will still have to pay general admission). Proof of homeschool status is also required during Homeschool Day.  

     

    There will be special activities and programs for the family to participate in through out the day. There are two programs that you have to pre-register for to participate. 

    Registration begins on September 2nd at 9:00am.

    Admission is free for homeschool students (ages 7-17) and 2 adults in the immediate homeschool family. Additional tickets may be purchased.

     

    Homeschool Day Special Programs

    Behind the Scenes Tour: At a Glance

     

    Pre-registration Required - Begins September 2nd at 9:00am

     

    Participants visit the Aquarium’s food preparation areas, animal holding areas and husbandry laboratories. The program features a spectacular view of the Living Shipwreck from above.



    45 minutes


    Ages 5 and up

    Maximum 15 participants (1 participating adult with child(ren))

     

    Program times are:

    9:00am

    11:00am

    12:00pm

    2:00pm

     

    Meet in front lobby 5 mins prior to start time.


    Price: $5.00

    Squid Dissection

     

    Pre-registration Required - Begins September 2nd  at 9:00am

     

    What do squid, mussels and snails have in common? They’re all mollusks! Through scientific observations and squid dissection, students discover the special characteristics of the phylum Mollusca.

    Approximately 1 hour 

    Ages 7 and up

    Maximum 25 student participants (ONLY 1 participating adult with child(ren)

    No children under the age of 6 allowed in classroom

    9:30am     

    11:30am   

    1:30 pm     

    3:00pm

     

    Meet in front lobby 10 mins prior to start time.
