Habitat Helpers

What is a maritime forest? What is happening with horseshoe crabs? How can humans and marshes protect each other?  This week campers will explore our local habitats, learn about our natural neighbors, and work together with our Aquarium to help us all thrive.

Dates: June 26-30-SOLD OUT

Into the Deep

Did you know that ogres are like oceans? They both have layers. This week campers will dive into the four main layers of the ocean to discover the weird and wonderful creatures that live in them. By swimming in the waves, experimenting with ocean science, and meeting our marine animal ambassadors, campers will explore the ocean from the sunlit surface down to the abyss.

Dates: July 10-14-SOLD OUT

Animal Keepers

How do we feed 2,000 animals? What does it take to keep a 235,000-gallon aquarium clean? How do we ensure good welfare and help our animal residents thrive? Campers learn about the daily care and maintenance of aquarium animals. By helping prepare food, clean exhibits, and create animal enrichment, campers get a glimpse of the work required to provide proper animal care.

Dates: July 24-28-SOLD OUT

Senses and Defenses

How does a snapping shrimp stun potential predators? Why do stinkbugs stink? How do sharks use their extra senses? This week campers use all their senses to discover a whole new world around them. By meeting and observing animals at the aquarium and surrounding habitats, campers learn how animals use sight, sound, smell, taste, touch and more to help them survive and defend themselves.
