Virtual Animal Cameos-Private Program

PRIVATE PROGRAM: Make your next virtual gathering a wild one! Energize your Zoom meeting or party with a live animal ambassador from the Aquarium. The program includes one animal and plenty of opportunity to ask questions getting to know your nature neighbors! Choose from a turtle, snake, shark, alligator, or salamander. Other animal options may be available upon request. 

Non members: $25

Virtual School & Group Programs

(Virtual) Turtle Time

Is a turtle's shell its home? Help us answer this age old question as we examine the lives of North Carolina’s land, freshwater, and sea turtles. Meet a few of our Ambassador turtles and learn about turtle behavior, feeding habits, anatomy, and find out what you can do to help protect these fascinating reptiles.

$100 for initial program lasting up to one hour
$50 for each repeat of the same program on the same day

(Virtual) Aquarium Life Cycles

Tadpole to toad, planula to medusa, hatchling to turtle! There is a multitude of life cycles happening around the Aquarium! We will share the life cycles of several Aquarium animals with your students and provide a behind the scenes look at some of the work our staff is doing to breed and grow healthy animals in our care.

(Virtual) Fantastic Fish

What do sharks, seahorses, and eels have in common? They’re all fish! Fish come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Join us as we learn the characteristics of fish and uncover some of the facts and myths of these fantastic animals through interactive activities, props, and meeting a few of the fish that call our aquarium home.

(Virtual) Jellies

Do you know what ocean animal is famous for its sting? See jellies up close and learn about one of the most numerous animals in our oceans. Find out about the important role they play in their ocean habitat. Participants, 2nd grade and up will explore the jelly life cycle through an interactive activity and props. Pre-K and Kindergarten through First Grade participants will go on a Journey with a Jelly with our animated story to experience a day in the life of a jelly.

Our virtual programs educators will take you on a habitat by habitat virtual tour of the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, sharing fun facts and answering questions about the animals in our care.
