Run Hill Night Hike - Friday, November 7 at 7:00 pm
Enjoy a hike at the Run Hill State Natural Area by the light of a fading moon. Meet at the Nags Head Woods Preserve to learn about the geology of the dunes before caravanning out to Run Hill for a hike. Dress for the weather. Hikes are held rain or shine – if weather is bad, we will share stories about nocturnal animals, and play Luna Bingo. Preregistration required.
Stars and More Night Hike - Friday, December 12 at 6:30 pm
Join an Aquarium educator at the Nags Head Woods Preserve for an evening of stargazing. BYOB—bring your own binoculars! If the skies are cloudy, we will hike the Woods instead. All ages. No experience with stars necessary, but please dress for the weather.
Aquarium admission purchased separately.
For all ages -Ages 2 and under are free.
Children 16 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Open to all ages, but this hike is moderately difficult.
All hikes meet at the Nature Conservancy’s Nags Head Woods Pavilion in Kill Devil Hills.
