Program Fees:
For schools, community groups, libraries and other not-for-profit groups:
$100 for the first program for groups with 30 or fewer participants
$50 for each additional program-same program, same day, for groups under 30 participants

$200 for first program for groups with 30-150 participants
$100 for each additional program-same program, same day, for groups with 30-150 participants

For-profit groups, groups larger than 150 participants, and demonstration booths:
Four hours or less: $250; $75 per hour for each additional hour

Mileage fees:
Within Dare County: Free mileage—write 0 when calculating the mileage fee below
Outside of Dare County $0.75/mile from Manteo to your site and back to Manteo

Extra staff fee:
Some programs, like festival booths and large group events, require more than one educator to be present. If extra educators are needed, $100 per educator per day may be applied.

Overnight fee:
If your location is at a distance that our Outreach Team cannot travel, present and return to the Aquarium within 12 hours, an overnight stay maybe needed. An additional per diem fee of $100 per night may be applied.

Other considerations:

Provide more than one date for your program and rank them in order of your preference.
If live animals are used, plan to schedule the earliest program start time at 10 a.m.
Need to save money? Have our Outreach Team visit other classes or groups in your area to split the mileage fees.
A ten-minute interval between multiple programs may be needed.
Fees discounts are at the Aquarium’s discretion.
If multiple programs are planned at one site, please have the Outreach Team set up in one location and have each group come to them—that will save wear and tear on our animals!
Once your program is confirmed, you will receive an invoice and payment instructions.
