Grab your water testing equipment - it’s time to be an aquarist! Explore the Aquarium with aquarists on the job and get behind-the-scenes looks at what it takes to care for aquatic and terrestrial animals. Campers will learn about NC native animal species living in the Aquarium, understand and prepare animal diets, investigate and test water quality, perform a mock animal necropsy, and understand how scientific data is collected for animal welfare. Roll up your sleeves and prepare to dive into the life of an aquarist!
Ages: 12-13. Campers must bring sunscreen, hat, closed toe shoes, and a bag lunch for the week of camp. Additional snacks will be provided.
