Learn basic skills necessary to catch fish. Topics covered in the program include species that are commonly found around the pier, a lesson on fish identification, how to cast and tie your rigs as well as catch and release techniques.

All ages welcome

Cost: $15 per person (Ages 5 & under: $8)

Tuesdays 9 a.m.

In this class, learn how to catch, clean and cook fish. Join expert angler and avid fisherman, Chris Crockett, for an enjoyable morning of fishing followed by a cooking lesson just in time for a fried-fish lunch.

Ages 12 and up: All children between the ages of 12 and 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult and all participants must pay

4 Hours

When: May thru November
Thursdays at 8 a.m.

A perfect class for the fisherman who wants to learn how to determine the best location to cast their line to catch the fish running in the surf. Learn how to locate sand bars, deep holes and ledges in order to find out where the catch of the day is hanging out. After a lesson on the necessary skills, test your knowledge in the surf with the lead angling educator. Participants will head to Coquina Beach where they will have a chance to fish for a couple of hours.

Ages 12 and up

Cost: $40 per person
